Outreach Reaching Hire ™ for California's Young Adults is dedicated to providing no-cost employment readiness programs and seminars to schools and non-profits statewide.

Why we reach out: Brick Elm's founder and Principal Lesa Caskey has been active in her community since childhood and has been involved on a volunteer basis with many organizations over the years serving programs related to AIDS research, battered women, human rights, homelessness, election polls and foster children. She has been a CASA and a licensed foster parent and is a tireless advocate for primary education in the state of California. Now at the helm of her own ship, she is intent on maximizing community involvement for her employees and trusted business partners.

What we do: Reaching Hire ™ for California's Young Adults is dedicated to providing no-cost employment readiness programs to non-profits serving young adults statewide. The program enriches and empowers young adults with employment specific education and training. It is designed to teach participants the steps and methods involved with securing employment and working successfully.

What's happening: We are currently delivering the program to two groups of young adults at Outward Bound Los Angeles and are actively engaging with other local non-profits to formalize programs in their locations. We have a goal to be teaching the program through 25 organizations by 2010 and 100 by 2011.

How you can help: We are currently putting together our advisory board and are looking for individuals who share our commitment to California's young adults. The advisor's responsibilities include an hour or two of time per month and a willingness to discuss the program with others who may be able to benefit or contribute.

We are also looking for corporate sponsors what are interested in creating awareness, visibility, enhancing their commitment, increasing brand loyalty and reinforcing a positive corporate image with the young adult demographic.
